Videography

Hello, my name is Bounpheng , I am 14 years old. I am currently a student at Kampa Luang Prabang Orphanage School and I have been here for 7 years.

When I was 10 years old, I participated in Mr. Vanchai's acting program. He studied film making at the Laos Children's Workshop and taught us kids how to be actors. He came in first place in the Workshops Best Film Competition and I saw him win and get a computer as a prize and that day I felt proud and dreamed that one day I would be as good as him.

I was born and raised in a poor family in the northern part of Luang Prabang Province, a remote and isolated area that lacked opportunities for education and technology. Although life during that time was filled with hardships and challenges, it shaped me into a strong and resilient person who never gives up in the face of any obstacle.

Later on, I joined the Lao Children's Workshop and it opened up a whole new world for me—I learned communication skills, public speaking, teamwork, and how to build confidence in myself. In my first competition, even though it was just a test for young students, I was able to secure first place, and it filled me with immense pride.

Today, I have a dream of becoming a professional videographer and filmmaker. I will continue to develop myself every day to move closer to making this dream a reality.

I love filmmaking with all my heart, because it allows me to bring my own imaginary world to life. Every time I watch or think about new stories, it fills me with excitement and inspiration.

Filmmaking is not just ordinary videography—it's an art form that teaches me how to tell stories, practice patience, and collaborate with others.

I train myself continuously every day—from cinematography and editing to storytelling—to bring this dream closer and make it a reality someday.
